A central Nebraska man has won more than $1 million by matching most of the numbers in two recent Powerball drawings.
Nebraska Lottery officials say Scott Leatherman of Wallace, Neb., won $1 million in the June 20 drawing and added $20,000 in the July 8 drawing.
Leatherman told lottery officials that he plans to use the winnings to pay his bills and remodel his house.
Leatherman won the $1 million prize by matching all five white balls and paying for the $1 Power Play option that automatically multiplied his $200,000 prize by five.
Less than a month later, Leatherman matched four of the five winning white balls and the Powerball number to win the $20,000.
He regularly buys nine quick pick Powerball tickets with the Power Play option.
