Some good news for a Raymond family...their missing flock of turkeys have been found!
The Chisholm family said about 15 minutes after our story first aired, someone came to their door saying their turkeys were coming down the road.
18 of the 19 turkeys were returned to the family, they said the fattest one has yet to come home.
It's more than just a flock of turkeys, for the Chisholm family who raise these grass fed turkey's, it was part of their livelihood and now both they and their buyer's holiday seasons may be ruined.
The Chisholm farm is busy with cows, pigs, and chickens but what's noticeably absent is their flock of turkey's.
"Come 3:00/4:00 when we normally feed them before they roost they just didn't turn up, all 19 of our turkey's are gone," Andrew Chisholm said.
Gone with it, is the money the family would have used to feed the livestock.
"It is going to have a tremendous effect on us having to fill this barn with hay for these cows in the winter," Laura Chisholm said.
And for the kids Christmas.
"Now we're gonna have to get creative and find other ways to do that there's no way they're going to not have a good Christmas but it's gonna make it a little bit harder for us now," Andrew said.
The turkeys were special, they were grass fed only and were sold for Thanksgiving meals and according to Andrew, worth more than a thousand dollars.
"I feel as though someone's ripped a part of my heart out in some respect we sat here last night and we were both practically in tears," Andrew said.
And for their young children who consider all of their animals family, they just want them back.
"I miss them so much and the person that took them I wish he didn't take them because it takes apart my heart and takes my Christmas away," Hannah Chisholm said.
The family is staying optimistic and relying on hope.
"I hope that somebody's got them and is looking out for them and could bring them back to us," Andrew said.
Some things to look out for are, there is one turkey without a tailfeather, they are two black ones and even some with polka dots.
The couple reported this to the Lancaster County Sheriff's office so if you have any information about their turkey's you can call them.
