Husker Fans Head To Dallas

Husker fans were up bright and early Friday morning, gearing up to head to the Big XII Championship game. We caught up with some of those fans at the Lincoln airport. The airport was full of red Friday morning.

The fans we talked to are heading to Dallas to see their Huskers take on the Texas Longhorns. Nebraska alumni, Bob and Colleen Payden caught one of the charter flights headed for Texas.

The couple from Scranton, Nebraska says they never miss a home game and if there's a championship or bowl game on the Huskers schedule, they're usually there! On this particular trip for them, it meant getting up at the crack of dawn!

"We got up at 4, left at 5 from Stanton, Nebraska and we're very excited. We're going hop on this plane and bring home a victory!" Colleen Payden said.

The charter flight the Paydens were taking is carrying about 120 Husker fans and it will only take about 2 and a half hours to get to Dallas. We are hearing that some flights may be delayed due to snow and ice in Dallas.

We'll bring you the tonight at 5 & 6. Kickoff is at 7 p–m on Saturday. And you can catch the game right here on Channel 8, along with all your pre–game analysis and Husker highlights after the game.
