Authorities say a Loup City man died in a collision in southeast Nebraska, south of Lincoln. 44 year old David Woitalewicz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lancaster County sheriff's Sgt. Derek Horalek says a northbound pickup ran into a southbound sport utility vehicle that had crossed into the oncoming lane of the rural road near Hickman. Horalek says the pickup driver, 44-year-old David Woitalewicz, was pronounced dead at the scene late Wednesday afternoon. The SUV driver, 63-year-old Larry Glabe of Hickman, was flown to a Lincoln hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the collision, and Horalek says the road had been plowed to remove snow.
