Saturday's weather was ideal for duck-racing, the featured event at Avoca days in Avoca, Nebraska. It was the 26th annual event.
Usually, the ducks race on ice, but they probably preferred the wet weather conditions we saw on Saturday.
Hundreds and hundreds of people came from all areas of Nebraska to cheer on their feathery favorites and have a good time.
The annual "Quack-off" is sponsored by the Avoca volunteer firefighters to raise money for their station. They say the turnout is unbelievable year after year.
People say the race is a tradition for the town, and it's put Avoca on the map.
This year's quacking winner was a duck named Tiger, and his owners say it was thrill to watch him win.
Last year the fire department raised around $3,000.
