Growing up in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Ashley dreamed of one day being a network news anchor, while doing pretend newscasts with her friends. Ashley attributes a disaster as the reason for her choice to pursue a broadcasting career. "After a flood in my hometown forced everyone to evacuate, it was the news that kept us connected and I realized just how many people you can impact in a short time".
Ashley interned at Channel 8 Eyewitness News and upon graduation from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she continued her broadcasting career as a reporter with Channel 8 KLKN-TV. "Everyday is a new day with new challenges, but it's the great people I meet each day that makes my job worthwhile."
Ashley loves to shop, spend times with friends, Indian food, movies, traveling, Starbucks coffee, watching lots of news on TV and Lincoln stars and Nebraska football games. "There's nothing quite as fun as a Husker football game..."
