Bayley is from Waverly. NE. She remembers always writing stories, writing was always my favorite subject in school. As soon as she took her first journalism class as a sophomore in high school, she knew what she wanted to do with her life.
Brent is from Daytona Beach, FL. His journey into broadcast journalism started when he took a tour of the television station where his aunt worked and he fell in love. He graduated from the College of Journalism at UNL.
BriAna is from Emmetsburg, Iowa, a town of approximately 3800 people. She says that Lincoln is the biggest city in which she’s lived. Growing up, she admits to have been a huge music geek.
Pierce grew up in Moline, Illinois. As a youngster, he remembers watching the news with his family and curious about how the anchors and reporters come up with stories. “I always wanted to be that person”, he says.
Joe Harris’ hometown is Lincoln. He remembers watching reporters running around trying to get stories and thought they were nosy. “It’s ironic I end up being one,” says Joe.
Rachael is from Waterford, Michigan. “I’ve been involved in TV since elementary school when we created a school newscast, then I anchored my high school newscasts”, Rachael recalls.
Zach calls Omaha his hometown. He also lived in Texas, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. In his youth, the oldest of three siblings enjoyed writing and reading. Zach became increasingly interested in news coverage through his journalism courses at UNL.
