It will be a weekend to stay weather-aware as strong to severe storms will be possible Saturday night and Sunday.
Tonight is dry and mild with lows in the low-mid 60s and light winds. Saturday will be dry for Eastern Nebraska for much of the day, but strong storms are likely in Central and Western Nebraska. It will be hot and windy with highs in the upper 80s and sunny skies.
Isolated storms are possible by Saturday evening, likely past 7 PM, with storms becoming more widespread Saturday night and lasting through Sunday. The primary threats will be large hail and high winds, but isolated tornadoes are not out of the question.
Any watches or warnings for the Channel 8 Coverage Area will be scrolling on a ticker at the top of this page.
