Students from Clinton Elementary are featured in a new book about the President. Wednesday, the school gathered to recognize their achievements.  Several students had their work featured in a new book called Dear President Obama: Letters of Hope From Children Across America.

The book takes letters and pictures from students ages 4-18 that were written or drawn for President Obama and published them into a book. Clinton Elementary school held an assembly to honor the students who's work was published in the book.

The cover was drawn by 5 year old Jason Phan from right here in Lincoln, and Clinton was the only Lincoln school featured in the book which has school from all over the U.S. We spoke to a few of the authors and here's what they wrote to the President.

"Dear President Barack Obama I'm so happy you won you're the best President on Earth you should be on all the dimes in the world," Taylor Lengal said.

"Dear President Barack Obama, I like you because you are a nice President, you are a beautiful President, you have a most beautiful wife and kids," Anthony Nguyen said.

"I'm proud because there has never been an African American President I am proud because you are the same color as me," Nyir Kuek said.

Now the authors of the book said their goal was to capture the sprirt of the 2008 elections from the perspective of our nation's children.
