Our physicians handle many vocal disorders including: hoarseness, chronic cough, paralyzed vocal folds, and breathing difficulties. Patients include those with functional problems as well as professional voice users. Those with vocal disorders are usually evaluated with digital videostroboscopy which allows for more precise visualization of the voice box and its function. Our physicians work closely with speech therapists to provide optimal treatment. Sometimes surgery is indicated. In those cases, our surgeons are able to perform microlaryngeal procedures as well as vocal fold augmentation and thryoplasties. Botox injections for spasmodic dysphonia is also available.
