State Fair Park Auction This Weekend

A lot of things can accumulate after 109 years in the same location, so in preparation for the big move to Grand Island next year, State Fair Park is getting rid of some stuff.

A bus, an ice chest, and chairs that come in just about every size and color are just some of the things you can pick up this weekend, at the Nebraska State Fair's auction.

Christine Rasmussen is with the Nebraska State Fair and says, "we've got buildings full of all different things that might be of interest and you never know what you might take home for a good price and a piece of history."

"There is a nostalgic value.  Some of the things have been here for a very long time, some of the things are just things that we've collected through the years."

As the State Fair closes it's chapter here in Lincoln, they say they're excited for a new beginning out in Grand Island.

You can view all of these things starting Friday at 8:00 AM.  Bidding starts Saturday at 11:00 AM (viewing beginning at 8:00 AM) and continues on Sunday at noon (viewing beginning at 9:00 AM).
