New Information in Fatal Accident

The Sheriff's Office has released more information about a car crash that killed a Lincoln teen.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff's office Alley Wright was headed to the Pla-Mor Ballroom on West 'O' on Sunday night when she got lost. That's when she started texting her someone for directions.

18 year-old Alley Wright was driving in the county near NW 98th and Highway 6 when she ran a stop sign and was hit by an oncoming car. The crash killed her on impact.

Sheriff Terry Wagner says through the investigation they discovered Wright was texting on her cell phone just minutes before the 911 call came in.

"It's pretty evident she drove tight through the stop sign so she was distracted lost distracted a number of factors involved here that lead to this crash it really was a very tragic event that didn't need to happen,"Wagner said.
