Khiry Cooper done playing baseball at Nebraska

Head Coach Darin Erstad announced on Thursday afternoon that Khiry Cooper will not be on the Nebraska baseball roster this season. Cooper is still recovering from a foot injury he suffered during the 2011 football season against Penn State.  The recovery process will not be completed in time for him to get on the field for the Huskers in 2012. Cooper has decided to focus on academics this semester so that he can graduate in May.

"We wish Khiry nothing but the best and appreciate everything he has done for the Nebraska baseball program," Erstad said. "We will be here to help him with anything he needs."
