Passer-by Saves Home From Fire

Another fire erupted in a home Sunday afternoon near 9th and "G".

A passer–by driving down 9th street called 9–1–1 when they spotted flames coming out of the first floor window of the home.

Firefighters arrived shortly after 2 PM and put the fire out within minutes. Battalion Chief Derald Murrell says, "It did actually breach the front window. Fire was coming out and was extending to the second floor window."

The converted home has 4 units, only two of them are occupied. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
