Sally GordonThe well-known Nebraska centenarian passed away just after midnight Tuesday.
Sally Gordon, a staple at the state capitol until her retirement last year, had been in the hospital since a fall at her home a few weeks ago.
Gordon began working for the Legislature in 1984 at the age of 75. She was assistant sergeant-at-arms. She was also honored as America's Outstanding Oldest Worker for 2010, besting women across the country for the award given by Experience Works, the nation's largest nonprofit training center for older workers.
Gordon was also known for her grace and sense of style. She also worked as a model, and a court reporter in her lifetime.
