A couple got a rude awakening Wednesday morning when burglars tried to ransack their home! It happened around 4 a.m. near UNL's east campus.
Police say someone shattered the glass on the back door of a home. Inside, a 19–year–old man was sleeping in his girlfriend's bedroom. They say he woke up to the sound of voices in the living room.
"At first he thought it was his girlfriends roommates, then a light turned on in the bedroom," Officer Katie Flood said.
The suspect said something and then left. Police only have a vague description. The suspect was wearing a bandana over half of his face. Police say nothing was stolen.
