Gas prices are at their highest ever for President's Day, according to AAA. Overnight, oil prices jumped to a nine month high. The national average for fuel is 3.57 a gallon. Locally it's about 10 cents higher. There's concern after Iran cut off oil to France and the UK because of sanctions over its nuclear program. Many fear oil supplies could be blocked all together.
"They've got us over a barrel, we're just being pushed around by everybody. We're getting pushed around by China, we're getting pushed around by the Middle East, we're just doing whatever they tell us we need to do and basically we're getting taken advantage of and we're spending all our money to support them," Josh Roberts said.
Some economists predict the national average could reach $4.25 by late April and nearly $5 a gallon by Memorial Day.
Economists say a 25 cent jump in price could cost the economy nearly 35 billion dollars.
