U.S. Senator Mike Johanns was back in Lincoln Tuesday, meeting with some state leaders. The Senator does this every year to touch base with Nebraska lawmakers. The main issues on everyone's mind? What do we do about our nation's budget, as well as the healthcare law. There's also an issue that can impact every decision in Washington.
"I think the partisanship has almost gotten out of hand. And I think that's a little bit on both sides. And ours, in Nebraska, we're a non-partisan unicameral," Kearney Sen. Galen Hadley said.
Johanns agrees. He says our willingness to work together is why we're doing well. He says our budget is stable and we have money in our emergency fund.
