Gage Co. Sheriff: 43 minors caught at drinking party

The Gage County Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska  State Patrol responded to a party involving minors near Beatrice.

Just before midnight Thursday, authorities were tipped off to a party concerning a possible MIP party at 11466 West Lilac Road in Gage County.

The sheriff's office says deputies and state troopers saw a large number of minors drinking alcohol and a number of minors running from the home.

They say approximately 43 minors submitted to a Preliminary Breath Test and all tested positive for alcohol. Three people that lived at the residence are being charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Reports will be forwarded to the Gage County Attorney for prosecution.  There are no details on whether the 43 minors were ticketed or arrested at the scene.

The Gage County Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska State Patrol encourages reporting underage drinking. To report underage drinking, please call 1-866-MUST-BE-21.
