Grand Island teen hit and killed by train

The Grand Island police say the 14-year-old was crossing the tracks late Wednesday night.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. near the center of Grand Island. Police say Cody Christensen was the last of a group of kids to cross the railroad tracks when he fell and was hit by an oncoming Union Pacific train.

Christensen was pronounced dead at the scene.
