80-year-old motorcyclist killed in Hall County

The Hall County Sheriff's Office says the man was hit and killed when a car crossed the center line Tuesday and hit his motorcycle.

The victim has been identified as Donald McCarville, of Grand Island. 21-year-old Britteney Baker was arrested for several charges including motorvehicle homicide. The sheriff's office says Baker initially told officers the driver of her car fled on foot, but later admitted to being the driver.

The accident happened on a county road north of Grand Island at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.McCarville was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries to Baker have been reported. Baker remains in the Hall County jail.
