An attempt to make a mega firework sends two males to the hospital with injuries.
Neighbors say they heard a loud boom that rattled the windows. Soon after two men were rushed to the hospital.
It happened in a backyard at 58th and Stockwell a little after 10:30 Tuesday night.
Fire officials say the males involved piled a bunch of fireworks together in attempt to make a huge explosion. The fireworks did go off.
Two males were taken to the hospital with second and third degree burns.
The Bureau of Fire Prevention is still investigating the incident.
