Lincoln police have now identified the two people involved in Tuesday's shootings.

Police say 28-year-old Isaac Durr was shot several times Tuesday afternoon but is expected to survive.  He's in critical, but stable condition.  Lincoln Police Chief Jim Peschong says Durr was shot by a neighbor, 40-year-old Scott Brus while arguing about a dog.  Peschong says the two neighbors have been feuding for some time.  Police say Brus was found dead near 69th and Havelock after his car hit a power pole during a pursuit with officers.  Police say Brus died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

It all started in a Northwest neighborhood Tuesday afternoon. From there, police followed the suspect into Havelock where he died from a gunshot wound.

Officers arrived in the neighborhood near 14th and Superior just after 2 p.m. Tuesday. "There's a guy laying in the yard and the ambulance guy grabbed him," described a neighbor who did not want to appear on camera.

Durr was taken to BryanLGH West with what neighbors say were gun shot wounds to the arm, hand, leg and stomach, but he did survive. Police say the victim and his next-door neighbor had been fighting. That's when the shots were fired and when the suspect took off.

Police say sheriff's deputies followed a black car into the Havelock area. "They were chasing him up on 70th at a high rate of speed and he took an alley-way and hit the second transformer and then we saw him putt out and perform CPR on him behind the vehicle," said Melinda Down who witnessed the chase.
