Road construction at the busy intersection of 14th and Superior is almost over. Beginning Monday, one of the lanes at the roundabout will open to traffic.
City engineers say the project is moving ahead of schedule and they want drivers to be ready. The 3 lane roundabout will handle more traffic while keeping accidents down.
City Engineer Devin Biesecker says, "As far as functioning like a roundabout, in a multi–lane roundabout you use the same rules that apply to any other roundabout."
The city will hold an open house next Tuesday evening at Campbell Elementary to help inform drivers and answer any questions they may have.
