Still criticism for the Affordable Health Care Act

It's been three weeks since the Affordable Care Act was upheld by the Supreme Court, but some conservative groups are still voicing their hard words.

Some say just because it was ruled constitutional, doesn't mean it's a good thing. "It is the largest tax being put on the American people of my lifetime. I think probably of anytime," said Pat Freese with Americans for Prosperity-Neb.

In a press conference, representatives from conservative groups like Americans for Prosperity and the Platte Institute praised Governor Heineman for resisting to implement the act. In the past, Heineman has said he'll reject  the law's medicaid expansion because it would be too costly to taxpayers down the line.

Others spoke out against a state-level health care exchange. They sat if that goes through, it would result in a fine for businesses who don't offer coverage to its employees.

"It you're a business that has 47 to 48 employees and you're thinking of hiring a couple more, you're not going to do it. Because not only do you have to pay health insurance now for this new employee, you're going to have to go back and pay health insurance for all of your employees," said Michael Tanner with the CATO Institute.

For others, our current health care system isn't perfect, but they say we need to look at other options. "Going to the Affordable Care is going to destroy America. I do believe it, it's going to financially bankrupt us. We need to do common sense reforms."

Some state agencies will meet on Thursday to begin talks on how to put all of this into place. Also, we're going to hear from supporters of the Affordable Care Act Thursday.
