A domestic assault sends Lincoln Police on the hunt for a suspect through Lincoln.

Lincoln Police say the call came in from 37th and Everett around 8:00 Wednesday night regarding a domestic assault. Officers say the suspect, 24 year old Kelle McCormick had already fled the scene of the assault.

Police say around 1:00 Thursday morning, a Lancaster County Sheriff's deputy spotted McCormick. When they attempted to stop him, he fled. Police say after losing track of the suspect, his truck was found a short time later in the area of 27th and Randolph. Officers say his truck had hit a utility pole.

Police attempted a dog track and then spotted the suspect running. He was taken into custody and lodged in jail for domestic assault, false imprisonment, fleeing to avoid arrest and other charges.
