A head on collision sends two people to the hospital Saturday evening.
Lancaster County Sheriff Deputies were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. A truck was headed east on Highway 34 while a car was traveling west. Officials say when the truck attempted to turn onto Northwest 48th Street, it failed to yield and hit the car head-on.
Sgt. Derek Holarek says, "Both occupants of the vehicle were talking, alert and talking to us as they transported to the hospital."
Officials say the injuries are not life threatening. It took about an hour for crews to reopen the closed lane and get the accident cleaned up.
