Firefighters respond to garage fire

Firefighters responded to reports of a garage fire just after 9 p.m. Wednesday night.

It happened near 16th and "A" Streets around 9:15. When firefighters arrived it was engulfed in flames. At least one car also started on fire.

The garage was detached and firefighters kept it from spreading to any other buildings, but it did start to collapse so they had to fight it from the outside.

Investigators are now determining the cause.
