Break out your napkins. It's time for an annual Lincoln tradition - Ribfest! The 4-day festival features award-winning BBQ and music. Last year's event attracted more than 26,000 people!
Award-winning BBQ pit bosses from around the country gather to showcase their talents. Desperado's is one of the champion vendors.
"I enjoy seeing the people eating, saying how much they love it. Watching them lick their fingers or throw a thumbs up on it or something," Israel Oliver with Desperado's BBQ said.
Capital City Ribfest runs Thursday through Sunday, just outside the Pershing Center. It goes from 11-am to midnight. On Sunday, it ends at 3 pm. Admission is $4.00, but you can get in free Friday until 2 pm with the suggested donation of a can of food for the Food Bank.
