Nebraska Coach Bo Pelini confirmed Saturday that sophomore offensive tackle Tyler Moore has temporarily left the team. Pelini said he is not sure of the leave is permanent, and he'll leave the door open for Moore's return.
"He's working through some things personally," Pelini said after practice. "I can say this, I talked to his father this morning. He said there's a bunch of things being said on the Internet, the blogs, the boards that aren't true. I'm not getting into what his situation is, but he's got some things he's got to figure out personally."
Moore played in nine games last season as a true freshman and made four starts. Moore became just the 10th true freshman offensive lineman to see action for Nebraska since 1973.
Moore's departure marks the second this fall, and the third from the 2011 recruiting class since April. Aaron Green transferred to TCU after spring practice. Ryan Klachko left the team prior to fall camp.
