LFR crews beat 911 dispatchers to the punch. Discovering a fire in Lincoln early this morning.
It happened just before 5am.
Firefighters were on their way to 48th and Lowell to check out an alarm call.
That turned out to be nothing, but while in the area, one of the engine crews noticed heavy smoke and found an active fire.
It was in a house that had recently been converted into apartments.
Large flames were shooting out of the back. Fire officials say there was moderate damage.
Four people are being relocated. No injuries were reported.
