People weren't the only ones getting one last swim in, our little furry friends got in a doggy paddle as well.
It wall part of Star City Shores "Dog Splash". A benefit for Lincoln Parks Foundation and Greater Lincoln Obedience Club.
For ten dollars, you could bring your dog to the pool. About 500 were expected by the end of the night.
Owners say their dogs love cutting loose and they look forward to the event every year. It was the fifth year running and possibly the biggest. Last year "Dog Splash" brought in 400 canines.
The final numbers are still being tallied.
