One player to keep an eye on in week two of Husker football practice is senior defensive end Joe Carter.
The JuCo transfer played in 10 games last fall and recorded just nine tackles.
Carter will be counted on to play a significant part on the defensive line this fall, and from the way it sounds, Carter is finally starting to live up the expectations that came with him from Chaffey Community College a year ago.
"He's light years ahead of where he was a year ago, with another galaxy to go," Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini said. "He's really worked hard at it. He's strong, you're starting to see his athleticism come out and he's made probably from the middle of the week til today (Saturday) he's made significant progress which is really good to see."
