An unusual crime in Lincoln Monday. Two people are struck with blow darts while walking.
The first one happened just after 5:30 Monday evening on 27th and Sheridan. A man was jogging and stopped for traffic when he felt a sharp pain in his shin. Officers say when he looked down there was a 3-inch blow dart sticking out of his leg. Police say the man didn't see any cars or suspects.
At around 11 Monday night a woman was walking on 14th and O Street. The woman felt pain and looked down and there was a blow dart in her thigh. Police say a witness saw a late 1990s, white vehicle with white male, teen occupants. Police say when the woman was struck, the witness heard someone in the car say, "I got her!"
Lincoln Police say in both cases the injuries were minor, however these type of blow darts could cause very serious injuries.
