During the next two weeks Nebraska Coach Bo Pelini and his staff must shore up the secondary, a position that looked suspect at times last fall.

Versatility in the defensive backfield should help.  Sophomores Corey Cooper and Harvey Jackson are working at both the dime position and at safety.

Not only is Ciante Evans pushing for a starting job at corner, he's a strong candidate for the nickel position.

Former husker All-American Eric Haag has sent text messages to help Evans learn the position.
Evans feels very comfortable in the nickel position thanks to his ability to stop the run.
