Kansas man leads officers on pursuit to Lincoln

Auburn police say an officer tried to stop the car for speeding and fake plates.

Police say at around 4 a.m., 22-year-old Kirby Clifton, Jr. of Lansing, Kansas was speeding in Auburn. When the officer tried to pull him over, the 22–year–old took off.. Passing through Nebraska City and ending the chase just outside of Lincoln on Highway 2.

Authorities say he reached speeds of 105 miles–per–hour and drove with his headlights on and off. He was arrested after the state patrol deployed stop sticks near Palmyra.
