An argument amongst a group of friends took a violent turn early Thursday.
Police went to a home near NW 7th and Bridger Road just after 4:30 a.m.
Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood says the homeowner, 25–year–old Blake Ruel, got angry with 35–year–old Crystal Marks, who was visiting. Flood says Ruel asked Marks to leave and slammed the door. Police say Marks and a friend started banging on the door. They say Ruel took out a pellet gun and started firing at Marks's head.
"One pellet lodged under the skin of her forehead and three other pellets lodged in the back of her head. She was treated and released at the hospital and later lodged on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants," said Officer Flood.
Police say Marks's warrants were shop–lifting related. Ruel was arrested for second degree assault.
