The Huskers hold the current record for season opener victories. They haven't lost the first game of the season since 1985, and fans say they don't think the win-streak will end this year.
It's no secret, Husker fans are 100 percent confident they will pull out a win tomorrow. It's a streak no other team in the country has been able to beat.
"I think the first game especially, there's so much excitement built up. Our team's looking solid, we have a lot of big guys on the field this year," said Colin, a freshman at UNL.
The Huskers haven't lost the first game of the season in over two decades. It's been going on for 26 years and Husker fans think this will be another one for the books. Fans says they have no doubt the team is ready to go and come out with a win.
"I don't think the boys will do anything wrong," said freshman, Mary Sullivan. Other fans say it might be a tougher opponent than previous years, and some players even agree. "It's definitely a big game. We know that they're a very good football team," said senior Tight End, Ben Cotton.
Some fans just have blind faith in the home team. "Of course we're going to win. We're the Huskers," said junior, Rebecca Johnson.
Another fun fact, the team with the second most season opener wins is Florida, and they've won 22 straight.
