A 3–time Olympic runner will make her way to Lincoln at the end of this month.
It's all to help raise awareness for depression.
Last year, Bryan LGH kicked off the "Run To Overcome". It was started after Adam Zetterman, who was a nurse with the hospital, took his own life after battling depression.
Suzy Favor Hamilton, a decorated Olympian, also suffers from depression. She says it's something that can affect everyone and those who suffer, need our help..."I just think it would be great to see the community really get behind this and bring awareness to this. I think everybody knows somebody who has died from a suicide or is struggling with depression or mental illness. We as a community can really make a change."
Hamilton says her goal is to help fight the stigma that comes with mental illnesses.
This year's run will take place Sunday, September 30th.
