Shotgun fired overnight at Lincoln home

A man opened his door to see a shotgun pointed at him.

Lincoln police say just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, a group of people at a home near 31st and Starr heard a knock on the door. When one of the guests went to answer the door he found a gun pointed right at him.

"There was a single blast from the shotgun. Small holes from the pellets damaged the back door and the door frame. But fortunately the 20 year old was not injured," said Officer Katie Flood.

So far police have only a vague description and no suspects.
