A water main break has closed northbound North 27th Street from Cornhusker to Superior.
The break occurred about 4 a.m. this morning in the east lane of North 27th Street just north of Fairfield Street. Repairs are under way, and crews hope to have one northbound lane open later today. The second northbound lane must remain closed until the concrete repair has strengthened, and the lane will probably be closed for football traffic Saturday. Access to local businesses is being maintained.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes.
