The University of Nebraska Board of Regents approved buying a home for the university president.

The board will pay for a house for President J.B. Milliken using funds provided by the NU foundations. The school had given the president a house to use until 1996 when it was destroyed by fire. The regents also approved a 2.3 percent raise for Milliken. His salary will now be nearly $421,000.
