Lincoln Police Officer Assaulted

A Lincoln police officer is recovering after being headbutted this weekend.

Police say 21 year old Andrew Lester was arrested for assaulting a police officer.

They say Friday night, Lester was taken to the mental health center after he busted out some car windows.

Officer Bradley Junker, who has been on the force 7 years, arrived at the hospital to aid staff.

Police say Lester headbutted officer Junker in the forehead, requiring 13 stitches to close the wound!

Junker was treated and released.
