Family Startled To Find Robbers In Home

Residents wake up to find armed robbers in their home.

Lincoln Police Captain David Beggs says it happened around 1:30 this morning.

He says three men broke into a home in the 5200 block of South 78th street. He says one of them tried to stop a woman who lives in the house from screaming.

The other two men were stopped in the hallway by residents. One suspect showed a gun.

Beggs says after an altercation, the three men fled. Nothing was taken.
