Lincoln power outage affects estimated 1,000 people

Lincoln Electric System reports power is back on after an hour long power outage that took place in the area of 56th to 70th Street and from Y to O Street Friday morning. Officials say it affected an estimated 1,000 people in the area.

LES officials say the power outage is caused by a failed underground cable.

LES crews rushed to the area around 6:30 am. The power came back on around 7:30 am.
