Thieves pry into landfill office, steal safe

The city of Lincoln is the victim of a theft.

Lincoln Police say sometime between 1 and 1:30 Thursday morning, thieves broke into the landfill near Highway 77 and Bluff Road.

Officers say burglars cut through the security fence and pried open the office door.

Police say they took a safe containing money.

There are no suspects at this time.
