The Lincoln Haymakers would like to announce the hiring of Chris Dishman as Offensive Coordinator. Dishman was a standout at Cozad High School. Dishman has been the offensive coordinator at Malcolm High School for the past five years. Dishman spent time at Lincoln North Star for four years prior to taking over the offense at Malcolm. Dishman brings a great deal of knowledge, leadership and experience to the Haymakers having played at the University of Nebraska from 1992-1996 where he played offensive guard. Dishman was a 4th round draft pick in the ‘97 NFL Draft as the 106th overall draft pick; by the Arizona Cardinals. Dishman would spend 7 seasons in the NFL, 1997-2003 with the Arizona Cardinals and 2004 with the St. Louis Rams. Director of Football Operations and Player Personnel Justin Hayes had the following to say " Dishman brings a incredible amount of experience to the Haymakers; our players will have the chance to learn from one of the best offensive linemen". "Dishman is a technician of the game, he has a great deal of understanding of the little tings that make a player go from good to great". Hayes went on to say "Dishman allows our players to gain the edge by focusing on the minute details."
While at Nebraska Dishman was an Honorable-Mention All-American (1995), Second Team All-American (1996), Two-Time first team all-conference ('95, 96) and a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy (1996) Dishman was inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
