Three Lincoln smoke shops were hit by a series of vandalisms and burglaries early Saturday morning.  Two cashiers at Wicked Smoke on West O Street came face to face with their burglars during an attempted robbery.  It was all caught on a surveillance camera and now we have the footage to show you.

Police say after 12:30 a.m., two men entered the store and demanded money.

Norma Johnson was one of the clerks working at the time.  She said they thought it was a joke until one of the suspects grabbed her coworker over the counter and got physical with him.

"When he started doing that I calmly walked over to the side, grabbed the taser, pointed it at the gentleman and then I gave it to the cashier," Johnson said.  "The cashier then turned around and tased him."

The video shows the other clerk grabbing the taser gun and shooting one of the suspects in the back.

Police say the men escaped empty handed but returned to the store four hours later after it was closed.

That's when they threw something through the front door and broke in.  Johnson said they climbed over the counter and took cartons of cigarettes and chewing tobacco.

Police are investigating whether this incident is related to the two other stores that were also vandalized over night.

City Mex and Aladdin Tobacco are both located on 27th street just blocks from each other.  Both stores had rocks thrown through the windows around 4 a.m. Saturday morning but nothing was reported stolen.

Police are still looking for the two suspects.  If you have any information you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 475-3600.
