Police recover stolen car

Lincoln police recover a stolen car after they pull over the driver.

Officers pulled over 18-year-old Benjamin Abney while he was driving the stolen 2001 Lincoln. They don't believe he was the person who stole the vehicle. They spotted Abney a little after 11 Sunday night near 11^th and B streets.

Police say someone stole the car over the weekend off the lot of Supreme Auto Sales on 49th and Cornhusker Highway. Police are investigating how Abney ended up with the car.

Police estimate the value of the car to be around $1,500. Abney was lodged in jail for theft by receiving stolen property.
