Reiman says his Nebraska roots are what sets him apart.
If elected, there are a few key issues the democrat hopes to address.
Attorney Korey Reiman says he isn't a politician, and that's where he stands out.
"I'm not a politician, so many politicians these days are worried about the next campaign how much money's in their campaign treasure. My only goal once I'm sent to Washington is to work on passing laws which help the state and our country." said Reiman.
Two big issues on his platform are education and healthcare, he says while some want to repeal the affordable care act, he wants to improve on it, and also wants to keep Medicare.
"Working to provide our senior citizens with Medicare and maintain some type of Medicare so that they can afford to take care of the elderly." said Reiman.
He plans to address public education if elected.
"Education is a primary goal I have in this campaign to support our teachers and to promote better teachers in the profession so public education is certainly one of the cornerstones in my campaign."
The lifelong Nebraskan believes in a good work ethic, and thinks laws should reflect that.
"If you work hard you will succeed in this life. And I think our laws should be geared towards rewarding those who have that hard work ethic and work to do the right thing."
